The first Wednesday of the month, from 8:30am-11:00am, The Salvation Army distributes commodities for the seniors at the senior center at 910 N. Flores Street. They serve approximately 50 seniors and package all of their food for them. Each month is different but they typically receive 10 cans, pastas, juice, milk, snacks, and frozen sides. Volunteers are needed to help unload the shipment, organize it, packaging the food equally, and then help the seniors load the food in their cars or their walkers.
