Volunteers are needed to deliver completed Write Start school supply bags to teachers at ALL Harlandale and East Central ISD campuses!
Each bag weighs approximately 7lbs and minimum delivery is 40-50 reusable tote bags.
Date: Tuesday, August 6, 2024
When: Various shifts (will be assigned) from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Where: Honor Elementary School Gym, 3610 N. Graytown Rd., Converse, TX 78109
- Pick Up completed bags from volunteer location where United Way volunteers will load your vehicle with 40+ completed school bags.
- Deliver to your assigned Harlandale or East Central ISD campus.
Volunteers will drive their own vehicle and deliver the completed bags to the assigned campus. Family members or team members may be in the same vehicle but ONLY the driver needs to register. Please DO NOT register passengers.
Please note you will be traveling with a minimum of 40 and up to 100 reusable bags filled with school supplies. You will need ample room in your vehicle to hold bags. Typically, bags will fill the backseat and the trunk. If you plan to bring more than 1 additional team member, you may need an additional vehicle to split the school order between cars.
If you register for an additional shift, you will be scheduled to deliver to a second school as well. You will need to return to the pick-up location to reload your vehicle for your second delivery.
You will receive a follow up email the week of July 29 with final details for pick up.
