Volunteers are needed to distribute completed Write Start school supply bags to teachers at ALL Judson and Somerset ISD campuses!
Each bag weighs approximately 7lbs and minimum delivery is 40 reusable bags.
Date: Monday, August 7, 2023
When: Various shifts (will be assigned) from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Where: Masters Elementary, 2650 Woodlake Parkway, Converse, TX 78109
- Pick Up completed bags from volunteer location where United Way volunteers will load your vehicle with 40+ completed school bags.
- Deliver to your assigned Judson or Somerset ISD campus.
Volunteers will drive their own vehicle and deliver the completed bags to the assigned campus. Family members or team members may be in the same vehicle but ONLY the driver needs to register. Please DO NOT register passengers.
Please note you will be traveling with a minimum of 40+ reusable bags filled with school supplies. You will need ample room in your vehicle to hold bags. Typically, bags will fill the backseat and the trunk. If you plan to bring more than 1 additional team member, you may need an additional vehicle to split the school order between cars.
If you register for an additional shift, you will be scheduled to deliver to a second school as well. You will need to return to the pick-up location to reload your vehicle for your second delivery.
You will receive a follow up email the week of August 1st with final details for pick up.
