The 9th annual United Way Shoebox Project is under way and is seeking to provide thousands of boxes of hygiene items and daily necessities to members of our community who are in need. Volunteers are needed to help sort shoebox items, assist with quality control, decorate shoeboxes and prep for agency pick-ups and distribution.
Activity:
- Decorating – wrapping shoeboxes that are not yet decorated
- Sorting and Quality Control – checking to make sure contents are safe and appropriate
- Assembly – Filling decorated shoeboxes with basic need items
- Packing – Pack completed shoeboxes onto pallets to be given to member nonprofits
