Join Emerging Leaders as we offer a helping hand at Haven for Hope.
UPDATED PROJECT: As of 11/6 the scope of our volunteer project has changed. We will be volunteering at Haven for Hope with partner organization San Antonio Food Bank to bring fresh groceries items via a mobile food pantry. Heavy lifting will be involved.
**Please note that this event is for 15 years or older. Valid identification is required for adults and a background check will be done at Haven for Hope the day of the service project.**
General Volunteer Information:
Check-in Location: Carlos Alvarez Volunteer Center, 1 Haven for Hope Way, San Antonio TX 78207
Instructions:
- You MUST be 15 years or older to participate in this volunteer opportunity.
- Please bring a bottle of water.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to check-in.
- Please bring a state issued photo-ID when you come to Haven for Hope. Security is a priority at Haven for Hope and they do not permit convicted sex offenders to volunteer or visit our campus. Accordingly, Haven for Hope will check all visitor and guest IDs against sex offender registries. We appreciate your understanding for this policy.
- Team registration is not open for this event; please have all interested volunteers register individually.
Haven for Hope relies heavily on our volunteers to follow through with their service commitment. Our goal is to provide a meaningful and fulfilling experience for our volunteers, clients and staff. We ask that you adhere to Haven’s volunteer policies and procedures while on campus.
The identity of our clients, and or treatment received at Haven for Hope or by any of its providing partners is confidential and may not be disclosed by any person having knowledge of such information.
To respect client’s privacy, pictures of clients are strictly prohibited without written consent from Haven for Hope.
Please notify us if you become unable to attend the service project. When a volunteer group’s numbers change, it affects our planning and project preparation.
