Please plan to arrive at 8:00 am to check in and register with Respite Care. All volunteer projects run from 8:30 am -11:30 am with breaks. Breakfast will be provided. Children are welcome for select service projects, and do not need to register prior to attending.
Parking is available at 303 W. French Pl. in front of the Family Ministry Center at Christ Church. Overflow parking is available on side streets. The Respite Care and United Way teams will direct volunteers to the check-in station located in front of the Davidson House, 605 Belknap Pl.
ALL HOLT VOLUNTEERS must register for an individual service project prior to attending Day of Caring.
Beautification Project at Najim
Expectations: Landscaping and xeriscape of front yard area. Volunteers will be outside helping to move dirt, trim trees, clean garden beds, and beautify the outside of the Najim building. Gloves and materials will be provided.

Beautification Project at H-E-B House
Expectations: Landscaping and xeriscape of front yard area. Volunteers will be outside cleaning garden beds, trimming trees, and laying mulch at the H-E-B House. Gloves and materials will be provided.

Beautification Project at Davidson House
Expectations: Landscaping and xeriscape of front yard area. Volunteers will be outside using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and pickaxes to move dirt, lay rock, plant beds, and beautify Davidson House. Gloves and materials will be provided.

Restrictions: Open to adults and children accompanied by a guardian.
Beautification Project at F-E-C House
Expectations: Landscaping and xeriscape of front yard area. Volunteers will be outside using rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows to beautify and transform the F-E-C House. Gloves and materials will be provided.

Breakfast and Crafts at Davidson House + Ice Cream Sundae Party on the DavidsonPlayground
Expectations: Crafts and breakfast with foster care resident children in the morning, followed by an ice cream sundae party on the outdoor playground.

Restrictions: Open to ADULTS ONLY. No children under 18 years of age.
Sanitizing Childcare Classrooms
Expectations: Clean, sanitize, and tidy all classroom spaces within the CEC building. Volunteers will be provided with sanitizing wipes and gloves. This project is indoors.

Expectations: Trace, cut, prep, and construct craft projects for classrooms. Respite Care will provide all templates, tools, and paper for the craft activity. This project is indoors.
