The United Way Eastside Family Resource Center is hosting a Trunk or Treat Spooktacular event on Saturday, October 25 and is seeking volunteers to help make it a success! This family-friendly celebration is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for children, families, and community members to come together, make connections, and enjoy Halloween festivities.
Volunteers are needed to help with the following.
- Compile donated candy/snacks
- Volunteer snacks, banners, water jugs, packs of water.
- Double check for markers, pens, clipboards, flyers, swag, & sign-in sheets
- Make treat bags for T or T event
- Build & bag trash bins
- Pull tables & chairs
- Pumpkin painting station
- Traffic coordination
- Vendor set-up
- Water station
- Set up/breakdown
- Organize common area (put back tables, chairs)
- Organize & label leftover items from event/place back in designated area (ex: snacks from volunteer station)
- Break down trash bins
- Make additional treat bags for Halloween Outreach event(s)
- Package diapers (the Nest shower)
- Organize & re-label diaper bins (the Nest shower)
- Set-up any last-minute tasks for Eastside FRC Open House
Water and snacks will be available for Volunteers. Please dress comfortably and according to the weather. This event will take place rain or shine. Closed toe shoes required. All volunteer days will have both indoor and outdoor aspects.
