Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver completed Write Start Project school supply bags to teachers at Northeast ISD schools within the Churchill, Lee, MacArthur, and Madison area elementary and middle schools.
Date: Tuesday, August 5, 2025
Time: Various 2-hour shifts between 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
*Note* all drivers will meet at the designated location and be assigned schools for delivery.
Volunteer Meeting Location: Wilshire Elementary, 6523 Cascade Pl, San Antonio, TX 78218
How it works:
- Meet with your vehicle at the designated volunteer meeting location
- United Way volunteers will load your vehicle with 40+ completed school bags into your vehicle
- Deliver bags to your assigned NEISD campus.
Project Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and a vehicle that can hold up to 75 reusable bags of school supplies*
- Ability to carry 10 lb+ at a time and unload bags**
Project Notes:
- *Please ensure that your vehicle can hold bags in a clean, dry space
- **You may bring a passenger to assist with deliveries, but one slot equals one driver. Please do not register passengers
- Registrants will receive a follow-up email the week of July 28 with final details for pick up
