Share in the “Christmas Spirit” at our 39th Annual Ford Holiday River Parade on Friday, November 29th!
Over 50,000 spectators come to downtown to watch as 29 illuminated floats, bringing to life this year's Texas Music Christmas theme with decor and costumed float riders. Billy F. Gibbons from ZZ Top fame will be this year's Grand Marshal. This parade is televised locally and syndicated nationally through the new year with over a million of viewers. This night also kicks off the official lighting of the San Antonio River Walk with over 100,000 lights.
Positions: Ushers
- Must be able to stand for the parade duration and be able to lift 20 lbs. Persons with disabilities needing accommodations may contact Ricky Vasquez in advance at rvasquez@riverwalksa.org to volunteer.

- 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

- 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Volunteer Schedule
- 2:00 - 2:30 PM – Check-in at Central Library
- 2:30 - 3:00 PM– Volunteer Whataburger meal
- 3:00 - 4:00 PM – Training and transportation to zones
- 4:00 PM – Everyone in place/River Walk closed to the public
- 5:00 PM – Gates open/Start taking tickets
- 9:00 PM-11:00 PM Returning back to Central Library
We provide: Free event parking at Central Library, a volunteer meal from Whataburger, and a Riverwalk branded light-up Elf Hat
Volunteers will be entered into a drawing and 5 lucky winners will each receive a $100 "Be My Guest" certificate to use at Hilton Hotels.
