BECOME A UNITED WAY STANDARDS REVIEW VOLUNTEER
To ensure the continued high quality of our impact work, we need community volunteers to help us review the efficiency of the agencies funded by our four impact councils. In 2025 we raised $46.8 million to help children, students, individuals and families reach their full potential. As a Standards Review volunteer, you will get to see firsthand how your contribution is making a difference in our community! You will work with a team to evaluate selected agencies to help ensure that our donors’ gifts are being efficiently invested. Standards Review teams review and assess partner agencies on quality standards which measure an agency’s ability to demonstrate success in three key areas: governance, finance and administration.
REQUIREMENTS
Time Commitment - You will be asked to invest about 15 hours total over three weeks in August.
Training - An optional two-hour orientation and variety of training sessions are available to teach you how to understand and interpret information to prepare a review.
*A significant portion of the review is conducted online for your convenience and site visits are scheduled based on your availability.
