Catholic Charities- Adopt A Senior San Antonio

Adopt-A-Senior Program is dedicated to supporting isolated senior citizens throughout the San Antonio community by reducing loneliness and promoting well-being through meaningful connection.

With the support of compassionate volunteers, we are able to provide consistent outreach and vital companionship to seniors who need it most. We are currently seeking committed and caring volunteers who are interested in donating their time and talents to support our mission. Volunteers are paired with seniors to provide companionship and assistance through activities such as wellness check-in calls, friendly visits, and occasional food or resource deliveries. By volunteering with Adopt-A-Senior, you will join a community of individuals who value service, empathy, and positive social impact. Volunteer Requirements: Completion of required clearance items: • Three (3) VIRTUS training modules • VIRTUS Criminal Background Check • Motor Vehicle Release Form (if applicable) Regular communication with your assigned senior (by phone and/or in person) Documentation of volunteer interactions and submission of time logs to the Adopt-A-Senior Program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or would like additional information, please contact us at
