Who We Are
Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas sustains the natural environment and enhances urban spaces through land conservation, community engagement, and education.
What We Do
Green Spaces Alliance was formed in 1998 as an urban land trust to serve the citizens of San Antonio and Bexar County. Our work is about people, nature, and connections to the land. Committed to San Antonio and the surrounding region, we protect undeveloped land and water resources, nurture and support community gardens, and help students and youth engage with nature through creative arts. GSA engages and empowers the community by connecting people to one another and to nature. To date, Green Spaces Alliance has: Protect over 133,000 acres of land over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone Safeguarded 458 additional acres of private property and 123 acres of donated land Fostered over 40 community gardens across San Antonio, and Educated over 3,700 students on the importance and beauty of nature with our Picture Your World Youth Photography Program.
