Volunteer: Weekend Volunteers Needed for Barn Chores and Horse Care

Thank you for your interest in helping out our organization!  We hold equine therapy lessons Mon-Fri with the help of volunteers, but we still need volunteers to help us on the weekends with horse/barn chores.  Basically, you will help bring the horses in from the paddocks, feed them, clean paddocks, put hay out, fill water troughs and buckets.  After the horses are done eating in their stalls, you will take them back out to the paddocks and then come back to barn to clean up their stalls and the barn area.  Minimum age is 16 yr.

There are a total of four weekend shifts to choose from:

Saturday AM shift is 7-11am  /  Saturday PM shift is 4-6 pm (during hot weather we move it to 5-7 pm)

Sunday AM shift is 7:30-9:30am  /  Sunday PM shift is 3:30-5:30pm

Volunteer: Volunteer to assist with Equine Therapy Lessons

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our organization!  We hold therapy lessons Mon-Fri starting at 4:00pm and ending at 8:00pm each weekday.  The age requirement to volunteer during therapy lessons is 17 years and over.  Volunteers assist during lessons as side walkers.  The side walker provides support to the rider as needed.

Each (M-F) evening starts at 3:00 m and lasts until 9:00 pm.  We break the evening into two shifts for our volunteers. 

The first shift of volunteers come in from 3-6 pm.  These volunteers come in and groom the horses, clean the paddocks and put the hay out.  Then they get the saddles/tack and horses ready for lessons.  Lessons are from 4-6 pm.

The second shift of volunteers take over from 6-9 pm.  These volunteers come in and get the saddles/tack and horses ready for lessons.  Lessons are from 6-8 pm.  8-9 pm they feed, turnout horses and clean stalls/barn.
