Join fellow ELC members as we lend a hand at YWCA of San Antonio's Olga Madrid Community Center for a pergola build and community garden refresh.
We will help beautify a community garden that the teens in YWCA's Teen Service Learning program started as a way to address racial equality through food security.
Coffee + tacos provided. Please bring a smile, a positive attitude and a willingness to work! :)
Activities:
- Building 4x4 planting beds using a drill and hammer
- Building benches
- Helping put together the remainder of the pergola
- Pulling weeds and grass
- Lifting up to 20 lbs
- Digging in dirt with tools
