Join fellow United Way Emerging Leaders as we serve Fight Hunger and Feed Hope at the San Antonio Food Bank. **This event is for active ELC members. Family/friend-friendly with active member.**
We will work together to sort and/or pack produce, non-perishable foods, and household items, preparing them for distribution. Duties may include checking for expiration dates, opened packages and spoilage, labeling cans, and packing bags of food or household items. Other duties may include general cleaning of the area, breaking down boxes etc. This project is fun and rewarding for both adults and children.
This event is family/friend-friendly and a great way to introduce others to what ELC is all about!
Warehouse is climate controlled, dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Closed toed shoes are mandatory! Please wear your blue #ELCUWSA t-shirt or a United Way t-shirt. A water-bottle is recommended.
