Join United Way Emerging Leaders on Saturday, December 8th as we work alongside future homeowners to help build #AHomefortheHolidays!
This event is for ELC members and friends/family (minimum age 16).
Typical Construction Day:
- Sign-in starts at 7:30 am. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult the entire day.
- Safety Briefing at 7:45 am.
- Lunch will be provided. Lunches are donated--individuals with special dietary needs should bring their own lunch.
- Clean-up is at 3:00 pm (sometimes earlier). Please plan to stay the entire day. The workday will en after the site is clean and tools have been put away.
- Please wear: comfortable clothes appropriate for work and weather. CLOSED TOED SHOES ARE REQUIRED. No flip flops, slip-on shoes, Crocs, or backless shoes.
- Please bring: a water bottle, hat and sunscreen. A smile, great attitude and willingness to work are also appreciated! :)
- Personal Valuables: will not be safe on the work site. We accept no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items.
- Animals/pets: are not allowed on work site.
