Each year, as part of the United Way Ready Children Impact Council, families who participate in the United Way's parenting education programs are invited to enjoy a day at the San Antonio Zoo.
More than 400 families have been invited to attend this event on Friday, June 22nd, and many of them have never been to the zoo before. Participating families (over 1,600 individuals) will enjoy a day at the zoo as well as lunch at the park.
#ELCUWSA volunteers will welcome families and provide them with t-shirts, water bottles, admission tickets and books. Additionally, volunteers will help serve the families lunch.
**Volunteers will check in at the Koehler Pavilion, located outside of the Zoo entrance. Volunteers for this event must be 18 years of age or older.
