Come volunteer with us at BiblioTech Digital Library on Saturday, July 15th for a Read for Success end of school year celebration/summer book distribution: Reading for Success with Raspas!
BiblioTech Digital Library is the first all-digital library in the United States. It is actively working to bridge literacy and technology gaps in San Antonio and surrounding areas by establishing a community presence at the physical locations as well as an online presence through the digital collections and resources.
Bellaire Elementary School’s second grade students and families (approximately 80 families) have been invited to BiblioTech for an end of school year celebration/summer book distribution and we need volunteers to help parents/students transition through the activities.

- Obtain Library Cards
- Tour (groups of 10)
- What is BiblioTech? They have flyers for the opening of the East Branch. There is a phone app where students can browse books. The library has digital books that students can check out and take home (free for 2 weeks/1 per family). Kindles and Hot Spots will be available to be checked out soon.
- Game Card Activity (students and parents to participate)
- Students can win prizes (lanyards, t-shirts, sunglasses)
- Will take 20-25 minutes
