Volunteers are needed to distribute completed Write Start school supply bags to teachers at ALL Southwest and Edgewood ISD campuses!
Each bag weighs approximately 7lbs and minimum delivery is 40 reusable bags.
Date: Monday, August 15, 2022
When: Various shifts from 9am – Noon
Where: Medio Creek Elementary, 8911 Excellence Drive, San Antonio, TX 78252
- Pick Up completed bags from volunteer location where United Way volunteers will load your vehicle with 40+ completed school bags.
- Deliver to assigned Southwest ISD campus.
Volunteers will drive their own vehicle and deliver the completed bags to a Southwest ISD campus. Family members or team members can be in the same vehicle but ONLY the driver needs to register.
Please note you will be traveling with a minimum of 40+ reusable bags filled with school supplies. You will need ample room in your vehicle to hold bags. Typically bags will fill the backseat and the trunk. If you plan to bring more than 1 additional team member you may need an additional vehicle to split the school order between cars.
If you register for an additional shift you will be sent to a second school as well. You will have to return to the pick up location to reload your vehicle for your second delivery.
You will receive a follow up email the week of August 8th with final details for pick up.
