The Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour is Mission Trail Rotary Charities Inc.'s annual bike ride that raises funds to help local non-profits complete small-scale projects in the San Antonio area. It takes lots of volunteers to put together such an amazing event for cyclists to enjoy routes surrounding the Spanish Colonial Missions.
Twelve volunteers total, age 16 years and older, are needed at 2 separate Rest Stops located along the Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour bike route. The first rest stop is located at the Shell Station located at the intersection of IH37 and Southton Road and at a second rest stop located at the intersection of New Sulphur Springs Rd & Stuart Rd, just North East of Calaveras Lake.
Shifts are in 3-hour increments starting at 9am and 12pm
This volunteer opportunity requires standing, lifting, and bending. Volunteers will be filling water bottles and handing out snacks for the cyclists as they journey out and back on the longer routes, and cheering and providing encouragement for riders. Other duties may include general cleaning of the area, breaking down boxes, etc. Volunteers will be able to help give the encouragement and create excitement for the cyclists. This event is fun and rewarding for all involved! Attire: This is an outdoor event, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable closed shoes.
