Volunteer: Shoebox Project Volunteer Days: Saturday, May 30The 12th Annual United Way Shoebox Project provides everyday essentials to men, women, and children through the United Way Safe Net and Community Impact agencies. The Volunteer Days include the following volunteer activities: Decorating – wrapping shoebox tops with gift wrap Sorting and Quality Control – checking to make sure donated contents are safe and appropriate Assembly – Filling decorated shoeboxes with hygiene items Packing – Pack completed shoeboxes onto pallets to be picked up by non-profit partners on distribution dayVolunteers must wear close-toed shoes and clothes appropriate for working in a warehouse.
