Basic Description: As a Fundraiser, you will help gather fundraising and grant opportunities for the organization. You will sometimes work alongside the Development Director and other staff and volunteers to create and host fundraising events. 

 

Specific Responsibilities:  

Solicit donations using telephone and email. (Sometimes, you will be required to call residents and or businesses) 

Log activity: call-back numbers and emails for follow-up.  

Record the success of previous fundraising events to ensure future benefit. 

Collaborate with donors before, during, and after fundraising events. 

 

Requirements: Candidates must be proficient with social media such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. They must also be able to navigate multiple search engines and other sources for business contact information. Experience with fundraising for nonprofit fundraising events is optimal. This position requires applicants to be able to pay attention to detail, manage time effectively, and be energetic self-starters. Ideal traits also include excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate, and the prowess to motivate people into action.

Basic Description: As a volunteer on the Muck Out team, you will help to clear debris from the inside of homes affected by a disaster.  

 

Specific Responsibilities:   

Clear houses affected by a disaster.

Tasks include removing furniture, carpet, and other debris. 

 
Requirements: Depending on the extent of damage, volunteers may need to stand for extended periods, and heavy lifting may be required.

**This is a remote position and can be done from home, however; some travel may be required**  

 

Basic Description: Within this position, you will be tasked with maintaining good public relations and building relationships with donors, staff, and volunteers. Considering this position's role in public relations, you will also coordinate events and be responsible for generating funds for the organization. You will also need to network with agencies and donors to preserve a positive relationship with the organization. 

 

Specific Responsibilities:  

Responsible for the organization's fundraising plan and execution to generate operating funds for various community programs and services. 

Highlight any areas of importance or risk within the organization.  

Plan for long-term goals. 

Develop methods of fundraising for these long-term goals. 

Network with potential donors 

 

Requirements: Candidates must have an established background in coordinating nonprofit donation strategies. They should also have experience in a leadership position. Considering this position requires teamwork, applicants will need the ability to collaborate effectively. They will also need the ability to speak publicly as they will be in contact with donors and the public.

Basic Description: We need volunteers who are familiar with working with and around chainsaws. If not cutting trees, you may be tasked with carrying debris to a designated location.  

  

Specific Responsibilities:   

Cut fallen trees/branches with a chainsaw. 

Clear debris that has been cut. 

  

Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects. An ideal candidate would also be skilled in both communication and safety. Experience operating a chainsaw is not required as we also need help moving the cut-up debris.
