Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc.

RMI provides residential options for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through foster services, in-home support, group homes and semi-independent apartment living. We provide vocational and life enrichment support through day programs. Outreach to children and families is done primarily through community wide events called AccessAbility Fest and Fiesta Especial.

Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. (RMI) assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their maximum level of independence through educational outreach, vocational and residential services.

Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. was founded in 1982 by 7 families who wanted more options for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now, with more than 37 years of service to the San Antonio community, RMI provides services to over 118 adults on a journey toward their maximum level of independence.
