What We Do
AVANCE unlocks America's potential by strengthening families in at-risk communities through effective parent education and support programs.
AVANCE was created in 1973 with seed money from the Zale Foundation. AVANCE has been nationally recognized for establishing a successful family intervention program for hard-to-reach families with special emphasis on serving families with children ages 0-4 years old.
This program has been recognized as a national model for impacting at-risk families. Its merits have been acknowledged by numerous distinguished visitors and included in national publications and directories throughout the country. The effects of this program have been formally tested and proven successful by the Carnegie Corporation of New York .
